Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

This is a short review since it was a short book, but I loooved it.

Another fun instalment in the Mystic Bayou series. This is book 2.5, not book3, so it’s a filler book that doesn’t add anything to the bigger story. However, it is definitely worth reading if you like a short and sweet romance.

The rift is calling to the magic folk of Earth, and Ingrid has let her city life to be a dairy farmer and make ice cream in Mystic Bayou. She meets Rob, a curious scientist who takes a liking to her despite her lack of interest.

What I liked…

More new characters and assimilations to Mystic Bayou.

Realism over moving and settling in a new place.

Tree teleporting. That was fun.

What I didn’t like…

Nothing.

Final thoughts…

If you like enjoyable and easy-read romance with a dash of fantasy, then this is the perfect book. I listened to it in a couple of days.
