After loving the first book so much, I found this one a little disappointing in comparison. I still liked it, but found myself slogging through some parts to get to the good stuff.
What I liked…
The adventure was definitely one of epic proportion. Travelling to the different places in Arawiya was fun to read.
The story and world was interesting enough for me to read on and enjoy this book.
What I didn’t like…
It felt so slow in so many places and got a bit boring.
Nasir and Zafira annoyed me every time they got so close to being honest with each other but either changed their mind or something interrupted them. Surely no couple has that much bad timing.
Final thoughts…
Ugh. I’m just not sure about this one. The characters let me down but the complexity of the story made me want to read on.
