The first half of this book was on the slow side for my liking. Not much happening, but then it picked up and was worth the wait.
The ending… No spoilers, but wow and 😭
What I liked…
I loved Auren’s struggle to accept her freedom. She’s always been a prisoner in some form or another, and now she’s not, it takes time to get used to it.
There are some new discoveries about herself and Slade’s past which I really needed to know by this point.
We already know the Fae world exists but access to it was lost. Now we get more of that story and what it means for Auren and Slade.
What I didn’t like…
Like I said, the first half was slower than I would have liked, but it picked up and was worth it.
Final thoughts…
There are too many questions for me not to be desperate for book 5. I can’t wait to find out what happens in book 5.
